We're spoiled as Americans. We really are.

Gas will NEVER go back down to $2 a gallon. Foolish pipe dream. We'll be lucky if it goes down to $3 a gallon. Never gonna happen.Jacqhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18343026866492303727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409417825874108720.post-30616381129294197192008-06-12T22:05:00.000-04:002008-06-12T22:05:00.000-04:00I tell you what's scary, here in Louisville, the i...I tell you what's scary, here in Louisville, the idiots in charge are getting ready to spend a billion dollars building two new bridges over the Ohio River, one downtown and one in the east end. They aren't supposed to be done till 2020 at the earliest but many in the community are trying to stop the bridges. It's insane wasting that kind of money when it could be better spent on light rail, more and better buses and a revival of the trolley cars that used to crisscross the city.

You are right, it is going to be very scary and I keep trying to tell anyone who will listen. For every person like you who gets it, ten think this is just temporary and that gas will soon be back to under $2 and it will be buisness as usual. Fools, the lot of them.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03175693033024112251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-409417825874108720.post-2390793734495699382008-06-12T20:09:00.000-04:002008-06-12T20:09:00.000-04:00Our next crisis is going to be overwhelmed mass tr...Our next crisis is going to be overwhelmed mass transit systems. I have already seen at least a 50% increase in the riders on the bus I sometimes take to work. I'm hoping they will add a couple of buses during peak times but there's probably no funds for it.

Meanwhile all the toll roads being built around Austin are going to be interesting when they open. Who can afford to pay tolls and what it likely to be $6 or $7 a gallon gas by the time they open.

We are heading into a strange and scary era.Friðvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08508816404445742901noreply@blogger.com
