Ike

The remains of Hurricane Ike put an ass whipping on us yesterday. With wind gusts above hurricane force, Ike battered the area causing over 300,000 power outages in Jefferson County alone. It could be two weeks before everyone has their power back on. Mine went out yesterday around noon and I'm still in the dark and probably will be for quite some time. It's a mess as streets are closed with debris, school is cancelled again tomorrow and most stop lights aren't working. For more coverage on the story, check out the Courier Journal.
